Magazine midterm submission

I used Microsoft Publisher to create the draft of my magazine. I used various text fonts and coloring to create different text styles that make my magazine unique and appeal to the reader. I developed the pages to give knowledge on the subject of Color guard and Marching band for not as much people know about Color guard's involvement.

Flat Plan

This is my flat plan for my magazine. It shows the layout for the magazine I will be producing. I will be following this guide line through the production of the magazine.

Locations for photo shoot and scheduling

I have chosen two locations for this photo shoot. Location one: Siesta Key beach.  Siesta Key is a well known beach for it is a popular tourist attraction. This location could provide a great and beautiful background for various action shots. I could take photos at dusk or dawn. The location is public and very open spaced therefore I and the model won't be disrupting people at the beach. Location two: Sarasota High School.  I have decided to use my very own school. Sarasota High has various locations including the football field, band room, bus loop, etc. These locations are very open giving the photographer more opportunities to capture the perfect shot or action shot of the model. Scheduling for photos: I have a color guard class first period. During this period we practice and spin. We practice in the band room and sometimes practice outside on the bus loop. I could use this opportunity to capture various photos for my magazine. It is also very convenient...

Magazine idea

For my magazine I have decided to do a sports magazine. The sport would be color guard and marching band. It would be all about marching band and color guard. I would interview our band directors Chuck Alfrey and Christopher Leiper, our guard coaches Staci Alfrey and finally our drum major Josh Krophel and some of the members included in the band and color guard. The magazine would explain all the performances, what work goes into performances, practices, schedule, how school effects the band, and detail about our uniforms, and the coaches/members experiences. I can take pictures of the color guard throwing tosses and or posing with equipment. The girls can talk about different tosses and techniques as well as various equipment. I can take pictures of band members playing or holding their instruments. The band can talk about different notes and the noises and techniques they use to play a certain sound. They can also talk about all the different instruments they include in marching ban...
